Gennady Vaserbakh is a former competitive hockey and soccer player, who brings 15 years of clinical experience to Apple Creek Sports Medicine. He has worked with professional and amateur athletes as well as with pediatric and gerentologic populations. Gennady primarily focuses on removing physical and psychological barriers that prevent optimal health and performance. In addition to treating muscular and skeletal dysfunctions, Gennady also treats chronic pain, depression, digestive problems, infertility and other syndromes and diseases. He uses a unique approach that combines biomechanics, exercise physiology, positive psychology, and osteopathic philosophy and treatment to facilitate communication between the brain-body connection to restore and/or optimize physical and mental fitness.
Gennady has completed applied research in neuromuscular exercise physiology on fatigue, in addition to studying the effects of osteopathic pulmonary visceral and dural techniques on lung function and capacity. He has also collaborated as an exercise physiologist in writing an exercise manual with Mark McKoy of Tranz4m.
