Shannon graduated from Brock University with an Honours Bachelor of Kinesiology with first class standing. While attending Brock, she took courses that focussed on rehab and fitness training. She was the student athletic therapist for the Brock women’s hockey team and soccer team and worked in the Brock Athletic Therapy clinic. After university she became a certified kinesiologist with the OKA and worked at a hockey training facility. Shannon continues to work as a certified kinesiologist/personal trainer at Apple Creek, training people of all ages and fitness levels.
Shannon graduated from the Canadian College of Massage and Hydrotherapy with honours. At school she gained valuable hands on experience in the student clinic as well as outreach events such as the Toronto Marathon, Ice Wave volleyball tournaments and the Toronto Rehab hospital.
Shannon plays competitive hockey for the Aurora Panthers who are two time provincial champions. In the summer she plays ball hockey and has played in two National Ball Hockey Championships. She has also run two half marathons and completed two duathlons.
