Melissa started her post-secondary education as a Physiotherapy Assistant at The Scarborough Hospital Grace division. She worked in rehab, post-op and acute care. While at the hospital she pursued another career in the health field and became a Personal Trainer Specialist.

Melissa has been a Personal Trainer Specialist for the past 10 years. She has developed and implemented fitness programs specific to each individual level of fitness taking into consideration all variables to a healthier lifestyle.

Continuing her education, Melissa graduated from Centennial College’s three-year Massage Therapy program and became registered with the College of Massage Therapist of Ontario. While attending Centennial College she gained knowledge and experience through weekly clinics at their educational facility for the general public. She has been involved in several outreaches offering massage therapy in different settings such as sports rehab at University of Toronto, oncology at Scarborough General Hospital, pediatrics and obstetrics at Woman’s College, as well as fundraiser events and health and fitness conferences. These outreaches have given her the experience and understanding to bring to Apple Creek as a Registered Massage Therapist.

Over the past 4 years at Apple Creek Sports Medicine Centre, Melissa has grown to further enhance both her knowledge and her craft. In the future she plans to use this knowledge to better serve Apple Creek and, most importantly, her valued clients.
