Meet the Trainers:

 Shannon Weekes

Shannon has been training athletes, weekend warriors and the general population for the past 5 years.  She graduated from Brock University with an Honours Bachelor of Kinesiology and became a Certified Kinesiologist.  While at Brock she took classes that focussed on fitness training and injury rehabilitation.  For 4 years she worked at a hockey training facility where she instructed athletes on the skating treadmill and designed and implemented speed, agility and quickness drills.

Shannon has also worked with people of all ages and fitness levels to help them achieve their health and wellness goals.  Whether it is with people who are looking to improve their posture, reduce the risk of back pain, lose weight or improve their general fitness, Shannon has helped them to reach their goals through specifically designed exercise programs.  She includes circuit training, core strengthening, functional and corrective exercises and interval training in her programs to keep the sessions fun and effective!

Shannon loves playing many sports.  Her favourite sport is hockey which she has been playing for 20 years.  Currently she plays for the Aurora Panthers Senior team who are two time provincial champions.  She has also played competitive softball, lacrosse, ball hockey and ultimate Frisbee.  Over the past year she has taken up running and ran her first half marathon in the fall.
